A kickboxer from Britain has been named by police forces in Thailand as the prime suspect in a fatal knife attack.

Lee Aldhouse, who is now on the run, is wanted in connection with the fatal stabbing of US Marine Dashwan Longfellow. Detectives in Phuket would like to talk to Mr. Aldhouse about the stabbing.

The attack is believed to have taken place following an altercation in a bar on the island.

Local media reports have revealed that 28-year-old Aldhouse trained in Thai kickboxing and had lived on the island for several years.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Anukul Nuket said the victims body was found in the early hours of yesterday morning at the Yanui Paradise Resort.

The suspect is known for his strength and fighting ability and was scheduled to fight former Muay Thai World Champion Jomhod Kiatasdisak, but had to withdraw from the fight at the last minute because of injury.
